Allyson and her daughters Kalia and Anya booked this session with me for a mother-daughter date out and I'm telling you that if you're a mother to a teenage daughter/s this is a must. I took for granted my relationship with my mother due to childhood traumas that I never got to work on rebuilding that bond. So I definitely recommend doing a MDD, it doesn't have to be a photoshoot but why not make it one?

Allyson beat the odds of being a teen mom and has raised two very strong, beautiful, amazing daughters. Their relationship is so pure and true, I was living through them the whole session.

B E H I N D T H E A C T I O N

From the moment they stepped off that elevator onto the roof top, to the moment we parted ways after the session it was nonstop laughs and happiness. These girls are H I L A R I O U S ! From talking about bad breath to piggy back rides and running across the street and skipping over the lines. They gave me all the insight to the mother daughter relationship that should be.

L A U G H L I K E A H Y E N A

At one point I looked at Anya and I just wanted to capture an authentic laugh, so what do I do? I literally tell her to laugh like a hyena, I wanna see it all. She looked at me like I was a crazy person and insisted she couldn't do that. I swore to her at first it will feel awkward but then the realness of it will kick in. She was still persistent that she couldn't do it, as she was watching a lady walk down the pathway. All of a sudden Allyson looked at her daughter and let out this "A H H A" laugh scream snort thing, we all started laughing like a hyena, all mom could get out was "I got it out of you!" I as a photographer have never been so proud!

My goal with this session was to capture moments and freeze them so that as time goes on each of these amazing women can look back and remember this day and have happiness brought back. I couldn't say it enough the whole session, these images are gonna mean the world to you one day starting the day you get them. You will look back on them as time goes on and be thankful. My hope is for Kalia and Anya to know just how much their mother loves them and to know how much each one of them means to each other. That one day they realize that they can make a million friends but nothing compares to that sister that has been there forever.
